Finished FA school today and got my wings!

I got a great welcome to the world of airline crew life since I never made it home. Went to IAD and DCA only to have both flights cancelled due to weather up in EWR/LGA.

So, I'm on a layover at DCA with a 0600 flight home.

Now I know what airline to book my flights on. I don't care if I have to travel half way around the US... I'm going to be pushing that FA button the whole time.

WhooooHooooo! I was wondering when you were going to post your news!..and I was also afraid that you were going to get stranded tonight.

My east coast clients and colleagues were telling me all afternoon that it was pretty bad back there....so Go down to the bar and have a cocktail to celebrate!

I'll be based at EWR (Continental Connection) when the Q's come on line. After IOE out of CHO next week, I'll be TDY'ing. Not sure from where yet though.

Yes, Amber, your words of wisdom helped me a lot! Thanks for sharing with me. We got our wings, our id cards, a little travel goodie bag, a framed certificate, a cake and were sent packing. (we all had early afternoon flights--not that all of us made it home!)

FiveO -- you'd better start behaving!

Congrats! See you in LGA when they TDY you there with all the rest of the Q girls.

Join the stranded club too. We're spending an extra day in MDT. Figures since it's our Friday...

Here are some great things to get used to at EWR... "GroundStop", "BallPark", "Number 60", "Amelia"... and "groundstop" you will hear a lot when you are trying to get back in to EWR. Taxiway Zulu is not a runway--I only say since the Q will be primarily on rwys 11/29.
