Default N00BIE

November-Zero-Zero-Bravo-India-Echo here...

Found this cool forum while surfing the web looking for an article on an airplane incident.

A little about me:

Computer Geek for my day job.
Flight student by night.

Got my private pilot's license and instrument rating. Currently working on building 240 hours so I can take the commercial course at Skymates out of KGKY (Arlington).

Hope to meet some cool pilots here on this forum.

Welcome to JC! You will notice that once we get to know each other (here and in person) we joke around from time to time, like:

Hiya N00BIE...

Your bio sounds like me too.... Computer guy for IBM during the day, and as of jan 7th, a re-starting student by nights, afternoons, weekends... whenever I can get it... ... Notice I left out mornings? I like to start my day at the crack-of-lunchtime

Welcome

I hear ya ! Been doing it for 15 years now, and totally fed up... Wife is very apprehensive though about giving up the IT cash for the unknown Pilot opportunities and low pay... I'm 44 and ready to be a career changer like you...If only I can shake the pay deal with the wife

Cheers!

I understand...we're in the same position...we'll probably have to sell the house once I become a CFI....but, at least the wife has a decent gig
