Default Greetings from a soon-to-be CFI

Yes, I'm finally going back and doing what I should have done right after my multi. (Back in Feb.) I actually graduated w/ a degree in biochemistry and was summarily pressured to get a job I didn't really want in that field. As it happens, I started an unsuccessful business instead, but anyway...

To make a long story short, I still have enough money left over (which I'll be paying back until I'm 45!) to get the CFI. It may not be much money, but it's something I actually like to do (as opposed to running Excel all day) and it's (much-needed) hours in the logbook I don't have to pay for!

If anyone has any tips on this process, fire away; I'm all ears. And Doug, hope you like the 76!

Welcome back- you'd just end up hating yourself if you didn't give flying a shot. Glad you didn't wait 30 years like I did!

Actually, I kind of was for a while--the prospect of commuting 4 hours a day made me think: "wait a minute--wasn't I supposed to be a pilot instead?!"

I'm sort of a "Type-T" or whatever it is personality--ultra low adrenaline, routine, predictable existances make me go stir crazy--flying is the one thing I can stay focused on without burning out.

Now about the Gutlass maneuvers--that tiny yoke & those stiff controls... Okay, there's one negative to the job besides the pay, but other than that...
