Default CFI writtens passed!

Took FOI and FIA yesterday afternoon, feels good to have those out of the way. Now the studying can really begin!

The funniest thing was when I told my wife she asked "so what does that make you now?"

My response: "well, nothing, really"

her response: "ugh, I'm tired of you being nothing!"

Gee....thanks....

I passed them 2 weeks ago too. The problem now, i dont know where to go for my CFI training. I live in NY and i really dont want to do it here. Its 90% fail the first time. I dont have extra money.
Any good schools in the country that offer packages for CFI training? Or any schools that have their own examiner for initial cfi? thanksssss

Well, multi got pushed back to the 21st...no biggie though, not like I don't have enough studying to do. Plan is to have that and CFI wrapped up by month's end.

DUCK: - WOW days seem to be getting better and better there in KRIC to bad I missed today's weather, they had me fly over to illinois yesterday evening to fly with some guy to take his checkride.. I hope your not wasting those days now

Yardman - I'm apart of ATP the 90 day airline career program. I am at the CFI stage and getting sent down to Atlanta on Sunday (thought it was saturday but found out today it was sunday) then going to become a MEI-CFI-CFII and working back in VA as an instructor.

Going for the CFI initial...er...initially. After I do that and hopefully start instructing here at home, then I'll work on the -II, maybe with the FBOs help (knock on wood).

They're setting up a structured CFI school here, and are anxious to get the first three of us through - hurting for instructors as is everyone else. I met with the new director of flight ops and I was pretty impressed with his vision for the place.

Are you going to be instructing out of HEF or JYO? Is it Av. Adv?

Thats a great idea, putting your foot in your door, more experience, more hours, then the II should come no problem! Goodluck with all that by the way.

Yea ill be out of JYO instructing for Aviation Adventures , sometimes HEF (sometimes the instructors can teach at either location) - but that was my old flight school where I got my Private Single at so im going back to instruct there, the hours instructors receive are great considering i would be the only full-time instructor, so they are hurting as well, and I believe they told me I would be the only MEI too, so hours here I come lol. BTW, how did you know?? lol
