Default Triple Digits

I've been waiting for this moment for some time....

100.0 TT!!! On the money.

The flight was 9/14 and only now did I tally up the logbook and realized that I'm exactly 100.

The flight that got me into the triple digits was by far the most fun I've ever had flying. I went from KFTW-KSLR-KFTW. I flew over KDFW at 3500, and over Texas Stadium & KDAL at 3000. I got to fly over my parents' house and take pictures of where I went to high school.

On the way back, Approach was too busy to deal with me so I had to pick my way around the north side of the Bravo, until I finally got a code around Addison. What a great time.

Anyway, here are some pics. Sorry some are blurry: it was a wee bit on the choppy side at times.

Mad Dog on short final

Guess which terminal is the new one.....

Home of SWA. Some ABX action happening there.

Hazy view of Downtown.

So, I went from 100TT, to Commercial. . .in the two months that you were trying to chase me to 100TT. You silly wing eater.

Isn't E every other carrier except AA? That would also be where the line for food is shortest!

Yeah... I think that is kinda his point...

You see... Delta, as one of the"every other carriers except AA" used to have a base there out of Terminal E.

I don't know if it's still there or not, but there used to be a viewing area down that road shown in pic#1 where I'd take the ladies back in the day. At night it's really pretty with all the lights and what not. Last time I flew into DFW it looked like it was gone, though.

They tore it up, looked like they were putting a wider taxiway turn there or something cutting the corner off.

Are you talking about the one on the south end of the field...over by the Delta maintenance hangar? That one was pretty nice.

I used to work at the satellite terminal back ~1997 where ASA had their gates. We would take breaks and sit and watch planes come and go. It was like sitting on the flight line at an airshow!

That sucks - I hope they rebuild it when they're done. I used to love sitting out there in high school and waving to the AA Captains as they came by.
