| Junior Member | Hello everybody. I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself, since I'm new to this forum. I found jetcareers.com from somebody's posting on APC, where I'm known simply as "ComputerGuy" but that moniker was already taken here, so I put "Old" on the front to reflect my age. (I'm not actually THAT old, but at 40 I'd venture to guess I'm significantly older than the typical regional airline new-hire.) Anyway, a little bit about me: I've wanted to be an airline pilot since I was five years old, but somehow life got in the way somewhere along the route. My mother encouraged me to at least get my PPL, which I did back in 1989. About four years ago, life presented me with the opportunity to finally pursue my dream, so I quit my job and got my instrument rating, then my commercial multi, commercial single, CFI, CFII, and MEI at a local flight school and began building hours as a flight instructor. I've got around 1200 hours TT and a little over 100 ME, and was just recently hired by Colgan to fly the Q400. (I attended the same interview as USMC-SGT and we got the same training date.) So that's me and where I'm at in a nutshell. I look forward to reading and participating in these forums. |

| Hey computerguy...good to see you visiting JC as well and congratulations on getting hired see you in a few as for the Q pay..I have no idea whatsoever but I am HOPING that maybe in 11 months ALPA will get another chance or who knows what and maybe some new rates will be negotiated for the Q. I have the utmost respect for anyone of any airframe doing the work but why is it the same pay for a 1900 and the 400, doesnt make sense you make more for flying a Global over a CJ1 nonetheless I am happy to be part of the Colgan team as well...ok everyone get back to welcoming computerguy, I dont want to be a thread hijacker

We have to do more work. | |

| Old Skool | No actually the Beech FOs do more work than the Saab FOs which will probably have to do the same amount of work as the Q FOs to get technical. So the Beech 1900 FOs should get paid more ![]()

| The saab FO's have it easy. Real easy. They should split their pay with the FA, whoever cleans their planes, and the autopilot! haha just messin. |

| Junior Member | No, actually the Q400 FO's should get paid more because, well, because, well, because... well, because I'm going to be one, and want to get paid as much as I can.... (Well, it's an honest answer at least, right? ) |

| I second that...the Q should obviously pay more than the 1900 and the 340 because I will be flying it. Im taking it to the board
