| I just finished my first four day IOE trip out of philly last night. The first day things were a little overwhelming, but the other days things got a lot better. I saw a lot of BOS and the NY area. The last day we flew into LGA and that airport bites the big one. Of course the CA wanted me to fly that leg. I also got to do a departure out of DCA. I love that airport and that is where I am going to be based out of in november. The CRJ-200 is a fun plane to fly and so far my landings have been okay. I did get a little behind it a few times. But I guess that goes without saying. The most difficult landing was on 35 at philly which was a visual approach with nothing to back it up. Not to mention it is a short runway. At least I thought so. I look forward to being done with IOE and being a regular line FO. |

| Junior Member | Sorry, I don't mean to take this post or anything but just a real quick question, what does IOE stand for?? I see it quite a bit and never knew exactly what it is? ![]()
