Hired at Piedmont!!!

I'll be an FO on the Dash 8!

The people at Piedmont really made the interview process as least stressful as possible. I'll report more later, but I've been up since 5am EST (2am PST!) for a 7am interview, so my mind is shot. I flew the sim check on 4 hours of sleep (yikes!).

That reminds me...I did my written exam and sim ride for my current job with 20 minutes of sleep. No joke. I'm sure you remember me telling you that.

I was flying desks, but then got laid off after the sub-prime mortgage market crisis did a number on our company.

I miss that job - it was very enjoyable. I did it for 6 years. I've been unemployed over one month so this job offer is a blessing.

I am moving to one of the crew bases to avoid commuting. I decided it'd be an adventure and fun to live out in the east coast for the first time... lots of things to do (close to NYC, DC, and other attractions). While I will miss San Diego greatly, I can always come and visit.
