RYN: yes, they do me too.

KTUS is good for touch-n-go's, but when it is busy (as in I am doing 360's out over the San Xavier Mission for 20 to 30 min waiting to get an arrival slot) I go out to KMZJ (Pinal). Its is uncontrolled, but usually quiet and not too may yahoos who don't/can't use the radios.

Maybe I'll catch you in the pattern.

pinal is a good one. i had two apache guys do a low flight over the runway the go sky high at the numbers. those are some cool guys. they are very bored too.

also fun to go see the old giants.

Thought you couldn't land at Pinal, could only do touch & go's!

Under the watchful eye of Mr. Security in his golf cart!

There is a restaurant out there. I have not stopped to eat, but my old CFI used to go out there and eat all the time. I will have to ask him how he got to stop and stay to eat. He was transferred from his plane to the restaurant in the Security Golf Cart and straight back to his airplane, I do know that much.
