| Trans States Airlines I have been hired by TSA and have a class date coming up. Is anyone interested on writing an intelligent review of the company? I understand their wash out rate is high, is this at all due to poor training, or unprepared new hires? Any info would be greatly appreciated. |

Rumor has it we even hired a guy with no CMEL. Rumor says he thought his SIC checkride would double as his CMEL ride.

At least Cape Air still has standards -- 1000 total time is the absolute floor (even for the FOs).
Congrads to the original poster by the way!!! It must be a really good feeling when you got the call inviting you for a class date -- knowing that someone wants to hire you.

| Re: Trans States Airlines I've got a few buddies at TSA now that just finished training and are on IOE.
Make no mistake, they have low hiring mins, but they don't lower their training standards. TSA is known throughout the industry as having very rigorous training. From what I've heard, the training is excellent but they do expect you to be prepared.
Now, the other aspects of that company is another story....

| Re: Trans States Airlines From the three people I know who have gone through training there and what they have said, I wouldn't say their training is any more rigorous that other places. However, their tolerance for people messing up and the level of difficulty on their checks are respectively lower and higher. |

hahaha. . .( ) | You're way behind me! I put my apps in back when I soloed!!! Does that mean I have a higher seniority number than you?
On a side note, I see that TSA has raised their mins back to 500/50
