As I don't post here very often (in fact it appears that it's been 'approximately a month') most of you probably know me better as Flygirl8138126's lesser half. A few I met at the Chicago Network JC which was a great time. Anyway, on to the point. I couldn't really think of a great way to begin posting, so why not start with a good announcement. A friend of mine flys part time for a part 91 corporate operation. He heard that they were looking for another full time pilot, so he recommended (quite strenously apparently) and I was called for an interview. This was all a few weeks ago now, but I'm happy to say that I'll be going to Citation V training next week! So a lesson that I've heard over and over again in aviation is that it's about who you know. I mean I would have never even heard of this job, let alone had a chance to interview if it hadn't been for my buddy. Even if I had heard about it, not too many people are going to take time to interview an 1800 hour CFI with little multi and no jet time for a job in a Citation. So I owe a huge debt to my friend and former instructor Bob for getting me this job. Additionally, I hope to be a more active board member in the future, so bring on the replies....or something. |
