| Junior Member | I am actually going to Univversity of Idaho, which is right by WSU, im sure u no that lol. but im planning on starting my IFR when i get there. I didnt go to CWU because everyones advice was to get a backup degree and i liked that idea. Have u ever been to Inter-state Aviation?

| Interstate has a pretty good rep in the area. I've always thought there rates were pretty good and they have been nice enough the times I've been in there. If you get the written passed, I could get your started with some ground trainer time. Not sure if Interstate has one but ground trainers are great for learning some of the IFR procedures, plus, it's cheaper than renting a plane.

| You can use a ground trainer for half your IFR rating. I used them a lot in the past, well....10 years ago. But they are great for maybe 10 to 15 hours of learning procedures in a more efficient enviornment than the airplane.
