| The new check has arrived.....2nd year pay begins!!!! A very welcome improvement to say the least. Its a shame that the North Carolina base is closing....but another way of looking at it...going from Min. Guarantee paid months to JFK pay where there is a lot more block hours in each month. I知 still hearing guys coming right up to the 100 hrs per month on their checks. So, we値l see how that works starting Sept. 1st. Now if i could only start to think better about commuting to work instead of driving only 15 minutes..... |

| Yea second year pay is better especially since eagle is offering %150 for OT. Makes we wonder why I ever picked up OT on first year pay with only the %120 premium. |

| We get time and 1/2 for picking up OT too. The 150% rate does come in handy sometimes. Since my base in NC is pretty small-we dont get so much OT, but up in JFK or CVG its a very different story. |

| Senior Member | Good for you man. Sounds like you are a Comair pilot? That's too bad they are closing GSO. I've worked as summer help for Comair at CVG for the past 3 summers now. I'm currently flight training now. Comair is always and option for me, though I'm not sure if I want to go there or not (not sure if I want to commute to JFK ). Glad you are going to be getting more pay though! ![]() |

The people are really cool and fun to fly with. I was an intern in the flight ops offices about 3 years ago before coming back as an FO (had to build the flight time to the then published mins of 1200/200). But with the hiring going on now at 600/100-I致e heard on the line that the hiring is possible with even less hours than that! Right now they are hiring into both CVG & JFK, so either one is possible. I chose JFK because I would be much more senior there, compared to CVG. So we値l see what happens in September. Not to mention that I was talking to my friends in the general offices-where I was told that the captain upgrades are 12 people per month....and ongoing. The follow up was that our upgrade time could become in the 2 year time frame from new hire! Really awesome stuff- and it makes me glad to be here. | |

| Seemed alright from what i heard with the incoming people. But of course....the more the better to come along and join. Training will be swamped in the next few months as the CRJ900 comes online. Not to mention the shift of those of us from GSO/MCO moving to 70 seater spots and other FO's going to captain spots. Everything does seem on the move and upwards...... That is much better than the current 5 to 6 year time frame. I truly hope it comes down. I would love to fly for Comair, especially if I can be based in CVG. Heck my parents live 15 minutes from the airport, so it wouldn't be a bad idea to live with them (at least on my 1st year FO pay) and save some money. | |

| I've heard so many things from the "spreadsheet kids" that i dont know what to think from them. (Not to mention I have been moved because of their lack of forsight/planning once before) One day there is too many of us, next day too less. With them who knows. I dont listen to them. In recurrent ground we didnt even have a visit during the "management update". I've heard recently that they have been laughed out of the room recently. But they were not missed-many of us wanted to get out and finish class to commute home anyway. |

| Old Skool | Man, I can't wait until we get a new contract. The second year pay here might actually be a noticeable improvement. Well, I guess it IS noticeable. I don't have to play "musical bills" every month. Now I can actually pay them all and still afford store brand food. ![]()
