| Had my interview with AWAC on Tuesday...got called today and offered August 20th class!!! I am so happy. Besides the commute I am about to undertake, it sounds like the best regional airline out there!!! I can't wait to start. I will post my interview experience on here and on aviationinterviews.com too. Anyone with any advice or comments, please post.CHEERS Ken |

| Here is my write-up I did for aviationinterviews: Not a lot to add to previous gouges but I will do a full one just in case. Showed up about an hour early for the DC interview (I was planning for traffic and there was none). There were eight of us interviewing that day and we started around 8:30am. The place where you meet is kind of hard to find and all of us had a good laugh over it. Be sure to either scope the place out a day ahead of time or get there early enough to find it the day of. We had three AWAC reps there at first. It was Dave the hub manager, Sara from HR, and another lady from HR. Later, the hub manager from PHL showed up to help. You will get a 2 on 1 with either Dave and an HR or the other hub manager and an HR. I had Dave and it seemed to be the best from what I heard. We did the company overview and then as stated before they give you times to come back for the 2 on 1. They basicly tell you to chill out and go get some food or coffee or whatever you want to do. I only had to wait an hour so it wasn't bad. The interview was about 65/35 HR. General HR questions: Why AWAC? What was your proudest moment in your life? Any scary flying situations? I can't think of anymore at the moment but it wasn't bad. Then Dave took over and started out by quickly catching me off guard by asking what the max speed is in Class B below 10,000? I started to spurt off without thinking but quickly stopped and made sure I was answering it right. Then on to what can you do to help AWAC? What are three things you can bring to the company? What kind of engines are on the King Air 350...What is the procedure for an engine failure at V1 continued? What would you do if you you are intercepting the LOC into DCA and the weather goes below minimums (before FAF) and the capt says "Hey I have flown in here for 15yrs and we can make it." I said I would tell him we couldn't do it and if he wouldn't listen, I would tell tower we were on a missed approach and then he would have to comply. A few other basic questions that I can't remember, and then it was over. Evidently the other hub manager was hazing the people he interviewed with. He asked them more tech questions and a few other things. I really enjoyed Dave so hopefully everyone of you will get him. The next day, Sara called me with a job offer. Good luck to all of you. My times were 740TT, 400ME, 220Turbin, 74Instrument Thanks for all of your support! |

| I will let you know more when I get there but this is what I have taken from it. I think there will be around 20 per class (I THINK) and you start out with 2 weeks indoc in Appleton Wisconsin, then move to either Canada or Raleigh, NC for 2 weeks of systems and 3 weeks of CPT and Sims. After that I am hearing 2 weeks break before IOE. That last part was heard 3rd party so I am not sure. When I find out more I will sure post. I am probably going to do a blog. CHEERS
