Default Welcome Skig Skags and Scallywhops

My names Sham I'm 22/m/ BFL, Cali and soon to be PPL, I have been holding off training for nearly a year due to personal issues after my Dual cross country.. I have nearly 70 hours and hope study up and finish my checkride soon after I get my finances situated. I have a supportive wife that motivates me to pursue my dream towards my aviation goals of being a Commercial Pilot. My parents are supportive parents but not towards Aviation.
I have been attending UVSC online and am halfway through my bachelors in Aviation. I have been saving up by making a few bucks here and there by being a Option day trader... It's not easy... well lets say I got lucky on a few picks since my Intial investments 4 years ago. I can say that I will be able to pay for my training without taking out any debt hopefully. I couldn't have said that in Oct 2004 on my Intro flight when I had help from my parents for flight training.. I feel I'm mentally prepared to complete my training this year compared to when I started nearly 3 years ago. It gave me time to mature and lots of time to understand the industry and get a feel for aviation as a industry thanks to JetCareers forum and others alike.

Favorite Aircraft: P51D Mustang (my buddies dad won a few Reno Races in the 1980's, what a beast!
Favorite Sports teams: Clippers, Dodgers, and how bout dem Titans?
Favorite Past times: My daughter Rania and my baby momma! Madden on Xbox 360, and making that NYSE $$'s...

Welcome aboard Sham,

BFL based CFI and glad to have you here. Let me know if there is anything that I can do to help out in order to help you get the PPL out of the way.

J.

Cool

Thanks all! I'm going to try to get er done! Thanx for the pm guys and I will be calling you Jeremy to see if you want a brew somewhere soon. Basque Bar? I had a good drunken fall a month ago (my B-day party)... which resulted in a knee injury (slight vertical tear of my meniscus) that needs some medical attention in the following weeks; so I plan on moving foward in training right when I'm able.
