Hey Smittey, did you do a gouge on aviationinterviews? I read one that fits your profile and the information was useful. Thanks.

Congrats Brett! I've been following your training from AriBen to Skymates and it must feel awsome to get to where you want to be.

Thanks- It's been a long road with a lot of sweat (and if you've flown Aviator duchesses in August you know what I mean, right Matt?), money and hard work went into it.

I remember reading FlyChicaga's write up about his journey becomming a pilot. One thing that has always stuck with me is what he wrote... (this might not be completely correct)

"If anyone has wondered if they could become an airline pilot, the answer is a resounding "YES!!" ."

I couldn't agree more. I'm very excited for CJC training. Anyone else going to that class?

You'll fit right in with the Saab. The summer cabin temps are JUST like the duchess in FL. Sweating your butt off!

Good luck w/ class......let me know if you have any questions about anything Saab or CJC.

Congrats, Smittey- welcome to the suck!

Oh- and you're right... Aviator's Duchesses in August ARE a good taste of things to come on the Colgan line.. wait'll you get to LaGuardia in July.

"Hey- do you have to pay extra for the air conditioning?"
- Beech 1900 Passenger.

Next time, I'm taking up a collection. Heh.

Yeah.....that was .
LGA management won't allow us to run an engine while we're at the gate. As a result, the time between boarding and pushing to a spot where we can spin #2.....the plane gets uber-hot. That's even if we had ground a/c hooked up. From the time they disconnect the a/c and get us out can be a ridiculously long time depending on how well the ramp crews are working that day. It really isn't a very good situation for the pax, unfortunately.

Then, once we get #2 running, we try our best to cool everything down. If we're full....it's tough. Some of the planes a/c packs work much better than others. Most of the time, the cabin doesn't cool off until we're at cruise.

I don't understand how they'll let us spin #2 at the gate to cool it down, but shut it down for push. Its one thing I miss about IAD, no actually thats the only thing... oh yeah and Potbellys, can't forget Potbellys

Somehow I just now saw this Lui. I'm at Air Wisconsin. Which base did you end up with at XJT? PM me and let me know how things are going.
