Congrats! Now - do three things.

1) Celebrate!

2) Party so hard you...ummm...'get sick' in a urinal at the end of the night - rally - keep drinking.

3) Celebrate more!

Of course, my CFI passage went nothing like this

Thanks all!

Without out getting too much into my history before flying this is a big Ha, Ha in the face of my high school counselors that told me I could never fly an airplane let alone teach people how to fly one! Guess they couldn't crush my dreams!

Oh, I am craving some fun and to sleep in! Too bad I have to wash the airplanes at 10 in the morning!

Why would they say that?

Because they said that I did not have the skills to be a pilot.

How would you feel triumphing over your largest critics when you were growing up as a kid? This was always a huge burden on me that had me second guessing myself all the time. You can't believe some of the things they said to kids here at this school. My counselor even told me to not waste my time applying for colleges because none would accept me based on my academic history. I had a 3.2 and a 1110 on SAT (pre-2005 scoring change). I am not too proud of those grades but I wouldn't say that someone had no chance at a college based off of those grades.

Rickey Harber.

He was a great guy and very fair. I'll do a small write up here in a little bit about the experience in the checkride section

Congrats, bro!

No worries, I had plenty of teachers tell me to choose something "realistically attainable"!

Good job, man ! Now all you have to do is teach kids that were told that they wouldn't make it.
And pray for that you, as a professionnal, wil never have to tell someone to give up because it's the hardest thing to do, take away a man's (or woman's) dream.
I have, and trust me, it's hard and sad.
Enjoy !
