Default Newest- Big, Bad, MEI!!!!!!!!!!!!

this space reserved for later after i relax for a while. i will post up what happened in a little bit

UPDATE:

The oral was very straight forward, i can't quite remember everything we did but i will do my best. We started out with some emergencies and Vspeeds for the aircraft. We took the selected emergencies and single engine go around and talked about those situations. After that we went into some decision making (i pulled out a Great Falls chart and taught the Decide model) We talked about critical engine and Vmc. A little bit about systems and that was about it from what i can remember, very straight forward and not too bad. It was tricky because he did put me on the spot to teach things i was not fully prepared to teach, it was just "make up a quick scenario here and teach me everything i need to know situation"

The flight was also pretty straight forward BUT his "student" knowledge level would change based upon what we were doing. for the most part he was a private pilot SEL adding a MEL rating. but some things he had never done before, or i had to demo, then other things weren't exactly his first time, so it got a little confusing. I taught Slow Flight, and Steep Turns, then he did a Vmc Demo (3 times actually because each time was different, there was one time he didn't put in ailerons and used rudder only, etc). From there i had to make up a reason on the spot for a reason to descend quickly, i made up a reason quick that didn't require any other additional "situations" and we went to KGAF for landings. He never did a landing i just had to demo them all, until we got back to KGFK. We did single engine landings, normal, and short fields. He did an engine failure to me on the runway (i was hoping i could give one to him, but oh well) the main thing that made me happy was i was dreading doing an electrical fire in flight because this person actually makes you pull all the breakers, etc and i have heard a lot of horror stories about it, but i didn't and i was done

One of the easier checkrides i have ever done, and i attribute that to having over 400 dual given, so that is my recommendation, get some dual under your belt, then get a MEI cert because it makes it a lot easier to teach all the scenarios/ADM i know last summer when i had zero dual i wouldn't have been able to do as well.

but i am finally done, now to get used to my new CFI exp date.....
