Haha, yeah, I was feelin pretty good in my fancy get-up yesterday... Plus add to that the fact that my barber nearly scalped me the other day. I went for a trim and I ended up with the #1 G.I. special. I didn't even recognize myself in the mirror for a bit. Good to see you and Chris there, we should do a JC M&G at the xjt training center.

| 831/135 Honstly, I really don't think time matters at all if you meet their mins. My group had 3-4 freight pups, 3-4 younger CFIs, 2-3 older CFI types, a military pilot, and also "that guy" was in there too. |

| Yeah, I definetly will be going for ONT. It's only a 45 min drive as opposed to the hour and a half for LAX. More important than that though, I want to do the braned flying. More traditional airline flying as opposed to the regional flying for another carrier. I am thinking the trips will be longer out of ONT, I will get to see more and not have to deal with the customs stuff... Plus less exposure at ONT than LAX, I figure maybe 2-4 landings a day there as opposed to maybe 7 being LAX based? Then again, I imagine I have a pretty big checkride ahead of me so maybe I should worry about that first ![]() |

Yep, you know what, one of the interviewers actually came in and asked if there was anyone there named Caffeine. He just missed you.

Based at ONT you might average 2-3 legs per day and LAX maybe 2-4 legs per day. Clearing customs is add pay. Nothing to avoid there. ![]()

Sweet! You have to forgive me, my prior experience in working at an airline and dealing with customs has basically been to finish the day with one goal: "avoid getting fined". I still have ONT above LAX though, I hear you get free food on the branded flights ![]()

| Congrats Tim! I always knew you would have no problem getting hired when the time came! It was great working with you back in 'the day' and I know you will carry forward the same great attitude and professionalism to the 121 world. My only regret is that I won't be sharing the cockpit with you anytime soon! Cheers to you and have fun in training!

| Senior Member | Great job on XJET, Tim. I'm very happy for you and glad to see that the cards are starting to fall in the right order for you. I know you have worked your fingers to the bone in order to get to where you are and you stand as a testament to hard work and dedication, if I have ever seen one. Congrats and keep us filled in on the next part of your adventure. When you get a chance, maybe you'll overnight in Bako and we can get caught up.

| Old Skool | Great news, congrats Tim. You should have a blast. Looking back, newhire training may have been the most enjoyable experience in my aviation career so far. I can still rattle off most of those 31 names from memory almost 3 years later. |

| Thank you very much, couldn't have done it without your help, I sure owe you one! That is exactly the type of thing that I am looking for. There were several folks in my interview group that would be great to room with during training. I just hope those were the guys that got hired... I suspect they did. |
