Default hi folks from new member :)

just wanted to say a quick hello. was a flight instructor from 10-15 years ago, left to go fly learjets and became a training captain/check airman for three air cargo companies and one int'l air ambo outfit. flew out of detroit, el paso, dallas, new orleans and tampa bay. anyway, got totally burnt on part one dirty-five, quit flying for a couple of years and decided to return to what i enjoyed the most - plain 'ol basic flight instruction. i've been back doing it for about four months with a new perspective. plan to work on becoming a designated examiner in the next couple of years as some retire locally.

anyway, one of my students threatened me if if i didn't join this forum. so..here i am..hi to everyone.

hi pam

yep, i made it...had to have doug pull strings for a 'web-based e-mailer'. now i know that's what i am..i've always wondered..

yes, pam is doing very well. in fact, she's scheduled to risk my life tomorrow!

seriously, pam, you're doing very well..right where you ought to be now.

and thanks for the warm welcome, folks. i just now found all your replies. i'm an 8,000 post member at a porsche forum and replies to threads are auto-emailed to me, so i'll have to learn to navigate some here to get all the preferences right when i get the time. anyway, i think this is post number 2 here?? i think i'm a newbie.

Ryan, I believe there is an option to do that here too. Not sure how it works because I don't use the function.

btw, miss pam did excellent this evening. very good in maintaining consistency in her procedures, from checklist usage, callouts to the traffic pattern. still working on completion of the 15 pre-solo requirements..i wouldn't have been working her at all in the pattern on landings tonight, but we were short on time having done a longer pre-flight briefing/ground. her last landing was very nice..softer than mine when i gave her a little break to demonstrate one..lol.
