Default Decision Made!

After what seemed like an agonizing period of time, I believe that I have made my decision. The three avenues that I was torn between will all be there for me at a later date. However, after carefully considering the returns on investment, only one guaranteed an income and a career.

Begining August 22 I will start ground for my Private. The route that I am going to take may be a little different than most, but it should work for me.

I plan on taking the Private ground at a community college which will have me taking the written in December. I will start the flying part next year and hope to have the Private, Instrument and Commercial within a year and a half (all FBO). Then it is off to the CFI/CFII. While instructing, I plan on finishing my 4 year, my ME and my MEI. Once 135mins have been met it will be decision time!

The goal is to fly 91 eventually, however, I have been lured to the regionals lately and I don't know why. I do not want to go to big iron, however would consider it for FedEX, UPS, DHL or the like.

All in all it should be a great journey and I am looking forward to it. Well, most of it! I am not too keen on the starting pay, but hell, it will be fun!

Actually it was about a 3 1/2lb. Smallmouth, smart guy! JK Have not fished Trout yet, but I am looking forward to it! All of my long rod pursuits have been King Salmon, Steelhead, Bass, Bones, Permit, Reds, Snook and Tarpon!

I use whatever they are eating. It really is funny when I get these "dry's only" weenies that literally recoil when I pull out the nymph box. A few of them have actually asked for a different guide. They don't realize that for every fish that is feeding on the surface, there are 10 feeding below, especially during hatch time.

They act as if I haven't been doing this since about the time I started walking.

Nice....................I got the same type of attitude when new customers found out they had a 20 year old guide on one of the biggest waters in Ontario.

That was until 20 plus Smallies over 4lbs. fell into the boat in two days! Oh yeah, on the last day of their stay I just happened to put the person with the biggest attitude towards me and my young age onto 3 Muskie's (42" 50" 54 1/2") all in two hours.

So by the end of the trip and $300 tip for two days, his tune had changed!

Check your PM!
