Right on... I got 8 licenses and ratings when I was 18... its good to start young, but it kills a lot of your youth and lifestyle.... so there are pros and cons to it all... anyway, welcome aboard!

Go for it buddy! I started taking lessons when I was 12. I soloed on my sixteenth birthday and got my PPL when I was 17. I am now a CFI and about to start applying to the airlines. No one in my family flew, they couldn't understand why I loved airplanes so much. My parents took me to the airport for my lessons but told me if I wanted to really do this I had to pay...so I got a paper route until I was 15 and then got a job working at a golf course. Just don't let anyone tell you that you can't learn to fly or that you're to young to do it....all that did for me was make the fire burn hotter and higher...Good Luck my friend

Hey look amorris311, pilotty got a paper route too!!

Welcome to JC! I hope that you spend time enjoying your teens in addition to working toward you flying goal. But, having a direction when you are young can really pay off. Again, welcome!
