| Newbie | This seems like a great site and I have enjoyed reading many of the postings. I am new here and have be flying on and off for twenty years. Most of my flight time is as an observers with the State Police up north. Have been instructing for two years and just hired by Colgan Air. I start on the 26th of this month. Will be flying the SAAB-340, training will be for about 6-8 weeks. But we all known that in the aviation field, trianing never ends. Needless to say, I'm very excited, and look forward to the training. It would be nice to know what to expect in the training so I can prepare. Guess I'll just sharpen up on my instrument skills. Even though I'm an instrument instructor, I still can sharpen skills. Other then what I have offered to you all, I thank you all for the future support in advance. |

| Newbie | How do I get ready for training? What are the days like? Where do we stay while in training? What do I have to bring with me to training? |

| Where were you an observer? There are quite a few former LE folks on here that have made the jump into the 121 world. J. |
