LOL...is it really going to be that long? I might get restless. Considering doing something while I wait.

Go jump on a real flight and see how it's really done! There are so many peripheral distractions on the line it's not even funny.

PS - Congrats!

With all my free time...tomorrow I'm going to go try out the wonderful world of offline jumpseating (with no idea how to check the loads on those other carriers). That should be fun.

Did you get your badge yet, or are you in Dallas/Hobby/Orlando?

Not yet. I'm still in DFW. Jumpseating sounds like a really good idea!

Do you mean defined, or what my scheduled LOFT and IOE would be?

Thanks, Nick. I'm still considering the old stomping grounds, even if it's for a week.

Thanks, man!! Hope all is well in your neck of the woods.

Well, LOFT complete now (that was fun!). Now I just might do that jumpseat. Do I just walk up to the gate and say I want to jumpseat? What's the process?

Pretty much. I just jump seated from DSM-ORD-IND-ORD-CLE-BWI-ORD-DSM on Shuttle America (x2), American Eagle, ExpressJet (x2), United & Skywest. Your badge will get you through security. Just go to the gate and show your badge and say, "Hey, I was wondering if it would be possible to catch a ride to ____ with you guys today." They'll hook you up. Then, when you get on the plane poke your head in the cockpit and say, "Hey Captain, my name is ____ and I fly for _____ and I was wondering if it would be alright with you if I caught a ride to _____ today." On our airline I asked to sit up front but on all the others I just accepted a cabin seat since they all had open seats. They are more comfortable and I think it's all around easier for everyone to just take a cabin seat.

Is that so? Well, then!! I'm going to have some fun this week! Did you get a chance to do a walkaround, will you wait for IOE?
