Default Passed the PC

I passed the FO PC tonight! Me and the other guy just got out of the $20 million dollar box and we went to the bar and ran a $60 tab in 45 minutes before closing time. The bar was called R.T. O'Sullivans. Love the name, get it....RTO.

I used to live right across the street from that place. It's right next to the PF Changs they put in a few years ago?

Oh, and congrats on your PC.

Yea, that's the place. XJT has people in Dallas, Orlando, Phoenix & Hobby for sim sessions in addition to the three they have at IAH, since they are so busy with training.

I have another sim session tonight called LOFT, then I start IOE whenever they can get around to it. Hopefully I'll at least get a couple days off. IOE ends with a line check, and then the rest of my probationary year I have to get captains to give me good reviews. And then go to recurrent training in a year. It never ends.

Is your first recurrent PC your probationary ride as well? That's how we do it... it's a big one.

It's his first ever FO PC... As of now... he's officially on the payroll and will have just received his shiny new Pilot ID!

Congrats! Sit back and enjoy your time off... I've heard guys are getting a nice paid vacation since IOE is so backed up.

Are they still doing the Saltillo run/divert to Corpus for the LOFT?

Bob

Hey thanks everyone. I rode in the jumpseat on the way home from Houston and that helped de-mystify the airplane. Actually a pass rider was trying to get on a full plane and and I offered to take the JS if I could and it would help. I only had my badge for a couple hours and the ink wasn't dry on my temporary airman certificate. I had to admit I had no idea how to operate the JS or close the door. First time for everything. The crew was really cool and happy to have me up there. And the pass rider was stoked as hell to get on the flight.

Now I'm just relaxing. I got home and slept for 13 hours.

Sounds like my post-PC experience! I've never slept as soundly as I did when that was over. I remember waking up and expecting to be told that I'd been in a coma since '98 and that my family had been killed like in that Steven Seagal movie. JK.

Outstanding! Well done!!

I completed my probationary PC mid-January. It's a great feeling to have it done with, ain't it?
