Default Finally Started Training

Finally started training at the Sanford Pilot Factory. Wow lots of Indian and Chinese students here. Oh and I look really good in my uniform.

I know you wanna start something. Like we haven't had this discussion on many occasions. The name of the school is Sanford Pilot Factory (DCA). The greatest Flight Training Academy ever.

There I hope you are happy now, considering all the flames I'll get.

You know I don't want the Higher ups at SPF to know that I am a member here, you know the politics and all. I don't want to eff up my chances of being a CFI there. You know when you're a CFI for SPF you are an employee of DELTA

The poor kids eat that this up like crazy, poor them.

Just curious, what made you decide to train at DCA over say ATP or FSA? Where are you from?

Hey man, you know I just like to give you some ####, all in good natured fun. But you had already outted yourself previously. With that in mind...I'd tread lightly considering the gravitas and politics of your situation.

Good luck from a previous DCA kool-aide drinker and employee! All kidding aside... study hard, backseat flights, and maximize your use of the LRC and you'll do well. You'll come out of DCA with mad NDB skillz!

I like DCA... its cheap if you study your ass off and do all the lessons perfectly and once... then you don't need to repeat any of the lessons procedures and you can knock out the lessons rather quick.. and the c152 being like 105 an hour, I really can't complain... and I have few other reasons which I don't feel like talking here

you'll like it! let me know if you ever come on down to KHWO area

also know that the guarenteed interview and all that other gimmicks they have are just that... gimmicks... if you get over that and know it, you'll be fine

Being owned by an airline is everything.

Dude, don't even worry about the "management" trying to figure out who you are. I posted everything..good and bad. I wasn't in the least bit worried about them knowing who I was, besides there were several who knew who I was and we talked about JC all the time. Of course they've gone on to greener pastures now.

Yeah I was having issues with my Magnum avitar changing sizes on me. Are you starting out in PVT? Oh and another piece of advise. Go to the hangar and talk to the mechs about the systems of the type a/c you're flying. It help to actually see them installed and how everything works also got to QA and ask them to go over the logbooks with you. Most will we happy to help.

Um isnt the cost the same at all DCA camps? I think Swen was talking about just the aircraft rental. What do you mean by AA?

no, south campus is cheaper... there is a kid doing his ME right now and he was telling me it cost him 30-35 (I cant remember which). over in Sanford, that'd be hell of alot more (i think insturctors are 60 there, and 30 in s fl). AA is like BA, but A stands for associates... aka 2 year college, yaeh I figured that, but I don't know why we'd be talking about plane rental in a flight training thread so I had to make sure... I actually PM'd and asked

I can get a 172 for 70... I cant get a 172 with an instructor for 75 and I dont know why I would be talking about a rental fee of a plane on a thread specific about training, unless you know a way to train yourself

I hope I can back seat, because as it stands now no one can back seat with me unless they are 104lbs or less. I am 225 and my instructor is 220.
