 |  Wanna Be Pilot New to JetCareers... Hello Everyone...My name is Jeff (23) and I am from Boston (if you couldnt tell from my name) ever since I was a kid I have always dreamed about being a pilot but for some reason never pursued it because it just seemed to surreal. I used to (and sometimes still do) just sit at Logan and watch the planes takeoff and land. So here I am 23 years later doing tons of research, reading books and trying to figure out what becoming a pilot is really like. I came across JC from doing research and always read the forums but now finally decided to join as hopefully I will be able to help someone out in a couple years that is in my position now. I can honestlly say that JetCareers has helped me out a lot in the past month as I got suckered into all the advertising at schools like DCA, Gulfstream and Regional but after reading the discussions and talking to people I have come to the conclusion that those places are crap and will end up putting me in a lot of debt. Thanks to JetCareers I looked into the FBO route and went down to Hanscom Field and did my discovery flight last Sunday and loved it and probably going to take the first step and get my private their and then go from there. I am in no rush as I have already waited this long but I guess better off now when Im still young....well enough babbling on and I hope to meet tons of people on here...Jeff |
