| Senior Member | Hello all! Ive been lurking these forums for several days now, and finally decided to register and start posting. Im 18 yrs old, and Ive only finished 1 semester at a local JC, but becoming a pilot is my first choice in careers. I live very close to KVNY, and im hoping to start lessons there soon. Im also taking At 130 at Glendale Community Colelge ( http://secure.glendale.edu/schedules...TRANSPORTATION ) I found this forum while doing some research on Embry-Riddle (Decided its probably not for me as I don't want to end up in debt for the rest of my life )Anyways, I hope to become an active, productive member of this community! See you all around. |

| Senior Member | Started using the name about 3 or 4 years ago. Ein is a character from one of my favorite Anime series (When I was a HUGE geek, instead of merely a big one )![]() and "bebop" comes from the shows title: Cowboy Bebop. And... I was too excited with the new name to research spellings so... i ended up with an extra E that I decided to keep. ![]() |

| It's a fun and exciting job, but there are some decisions to be made. Choose your FBO/school wisely. I wouldn't attend an academy type school as they will sell you books and sim/CRM/737 type programs that are useless for an individual at that point in their career. |

By the way we are going to have a SoCal get together on Feb 10-11 and you are more than welcome to join us. Check out the Meet & Greet section for more info. I almost forgot, welcome aboard!! | |

| The school owns their own planes and they have their own instructors, they all fly out of Whiteman (WHP). Last edited by Aero_Engineer; January 16th, 2007 at 20:22. |

| Senior Member | Im not sure what i really expected, but it really wasn't that ![]() (I haven't called to talk to the Aviation dept. head yet) Seems like that would be the cheapest way to get your PPL, doesn't it? |
