I am guessing that he thinks you may be the 'typical' new hire at expressjet, lower time, first jet job, etc....

Anyhow, congrats and enjoy the new gig.

Oh oh oh, ok, I thought maybe there was much more to be prepared with than what they sent us home with. I am in no way any more "prepared" than any new hire, first job, etc. The training supplement they gave us is just that good, flows and diagrams make for easy learnin, and the limitations no funky numbers, down pat (the ones I could get my hands anyway). Now, where can I find a QRH????

Thanks for the kind words ya'll.

LOL...that's one thing people tend to forget. Don't worry. If your class is big enough, like ours were, they'll split you guys up and you'll be training in shifts. I had the early morning shift for systems, and now I'm doing the evening shift for FTD's. Come time for full-motion sims, I get the graveyard shift.

Do you do the FTD stuff in the sim or is there a cardboard mock up?

There are two FTD's....they are working cockpits. One is the cockpit of one of the ERJ's that crashed on a training flight about 8 or 9 years ago. They use the fuselage of that plane as a cabin trainer. The other was built from scratch I think, but they both function just like sims (working displays, switches, etc) except the windows are frosted and there is no motion.

2 years 3 months currently. In the future, impossible to tell. New bases opening up will decrease upgrade time....failure to obtain additional RFP's or failure of the branded/charter ventures will increase it.
