| Senior Member | Well, I go in to work today and found a note asking for donations and flowers to a family. So, I look up at the title and it turns out it was my very first instructor at my college had been killed in a plane crash while flying pipline patrol. I heard a quick summary of what had happened: He was flying pipeline and inadvertantly entered IMC conditions and then had somehow crashed. Not sure if he lost control, hit a tower, or what had happened. I will be looking out for the NTSB report - it happened in either Oklahoma or Texas. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family - his wife had just had a baby a few months prior. |

| Senior Member | "The wreckage was located....approximately 1.45 miles short of the approach end and near the extended center line for Runway 25." So close, too. Sad. R.I.P. |
