Yes!! For those of us pursuing jobs, we count every hour of total time, until we hit the 1500 hour mark, multi time, until we hit what's necessary for the next step, and turbine time for the same reason. Then we don't care as much, but we still care.

For those of us who only fly for the love of it and have a better source of income, we log time for insurance purposes, currency, and in pursuit of ratings like the instrument.

For both the ones pursuing jobs and the ones who fly strictly for fun, counting hours is nice just for personal records, for knowing exactly how much time you've spent in the air, and to have an answer when your great-uncle who soloed once but never got his license asks you, "How many hours ya got, sonny?"

My CFI this week hit the big 1000 hour mark. It was a monumental occasion for him as well.

Nope, flying alot it seems, but at 1.7-2.0 round trip (maybe 2.2 if I'm lucking at ATC routes me) it doesnt seem to be adding quickly Maybe I should be flying something slower!

Yep, a company plane Too bad they have only had it a year now and it spent a good amount of time in the shop early last year (warranty work).
