| Well, it was back on Monday but I soloed for the first time. I went up with my instructor for 4 landings and then she was like, you want to try this yourself? So I agreed and did my 3 landings with a go-around. It was a great experience. I was a little nervous, but not too bad. |

| Senior Member | Congrats!!! Did she cut up your shirt?... I remember my first time soloing, but I never got a shirt-tail :-( What made you decide on the go-around?

| Nope, my shirt wasn't cut unfortunately. I went around because I was a little high, but a Citation used the whole runway right in front of me and I didn't want to take a chance with wake turbulence. What a difference in performance with an empty right seat. |

| Senior Member | Well, I'm glad you went around. So many students are stubborn about making the landing even though going around is a great option... There are still those who don't consider them (i.e., Southwest airliner at KBUR a few years ago).... Anyway, good luck w/the rest of your training
