| I'm back I'm back! Well after a busy few weeks with my new work at home/or on the road. I finally have time to get back on JC. Wow, have I got a lot to catch up on.
I am also recovering from my 6 yr old computer blowing up too . Almost, lost 2 weeks worth of data. Thankfully, I create tons of backups.
The good news is at least it is now a tax write off.
Happy Holidays.

| Re: I'm back Being in IT that is the once thing I try to stress to anyone: make BACKUPS!!!! It may suck doing it and all the time involved but if something goes bad, no worries. Also external hard drives are good to have and very cheap.

However, I decided to buy a HP A1630N mainly due to time constraints and excellent sales at Circuit City. I couldn't build anything close to what HP was offering for the price.
Dual Core AMD Athlon 64 5200+
2GB DDR2 RAM
250 GB SATA HDD
Lightscribe DVD R RW
Windows XP MCE with free upgrade to Vista later in 07
HP even gave me an early Christmas present. The computer was only supposed to have the AMD 4200+ but mine has the 5200+ running at nearly 2.5 GHz...I guess HP was having a processor shortage.

Aaron, it is pretty sweet being home as much as I am. I am basically getting about 20-25 days a month at home. So I can devote some serious time to the family and my second job (which is paying pretty good).
I am concerned though that if I don't start flying more the owner will just cut 1 more crew and not worry about having any reserves..I have nothing to base this on but a fear of getting furloughed.
Aaron, how is your recovery going?

| Re: I'm back I am being very selective right now. I am trying to hang on long enough for the type and bank enough cash to offset year 1 pay at a major. I really don't want to have Tanya to have to go back to work. She has already put up with and supported me through a lot crap so far in my career. I also want to see how things shake out with the potential mergers of a few majors...
It is so hard planning anything in this industry. I am so frustrated right now with trying to figure what is the correct move to make....aaahhhhhh!!!
