Default My Turn, My Turn!

Well, I'm absolutely surprised, but just less than one week from applying I got an email from ExpressJet for an interview in a couple of weeks! I'm very happy, as this is my first call, and I didn't expect to hear from them so quickly. I will keep you guys posted.

On a side note...I just made Senior Member!! What a day I'm having!

I just received an email too. Interview is Dec 5th or 6th. Time to tighten up and nail this thing. By the way, my times are 1105/167. What are you going to do to prep?

Right now it's 926/175, but I should clear 1000 before the interview easy. I'll be doing a lot of flying the next 4 days while everyone is away for the holiday weekend. I got the 5th and 6th as dates as well. I'll be interviewing on the 5th.

Lou, I'll send you a PM soon, man.

For preparations, I have an interview gounge I got from this site, and I have my "Everything Explained" book that I will be taking with me everywhere I go to study from now on.

http://aviationinterviews.com/pilotregister.php There are over 400 gouges on there... some as current as the past few days.

Also make sure that:

1. Your Multi-Time is current... seriously... it can be a dealbreaker if you have no Multi in the last 6 months.
2. Your paperwork is in the proper order that they detail in their e-mail or letter to you.
3. Be yourself... you can nail the Tech part of the interview and totally blow the "getting to know you" HR part. Relax, be confident & polite... not cocky.

You know a funny thing happened recently. I signed up for aviationinterviews and my account was good for a couple of days, then all of a sudden it's gone. No record of my email, password...nothing. I'm waiting to hear from the webmaster to find out what went wrong.

I'm taking your advice, though. The multi is definitely current. Actually, I flew more multi than I thought in the past 6 months. As for character traits, I'll be fine in that area. Appreciate the heads up, Bob.

I instruct in bustling town of Atwater -- California's best kept secret.

What would you define as multi current? I listed my experience on my resume as this:

Within last six months:
Single Engine 532.0
Multi Engine 14.2
C150, C152, C172, PA28-161, PA28-181, PA28R-200, PA31, PA32R-300

Should I go try and find a twin? I would hate to have to rent one for ten hours or so. Would that even make a difference? Being I stated what I have been flying in my resume and my resume was walked in by an FO I am thinking not but what do I know.

I am registered with Airline Interviews also and they evidently had a server snafu. I just reregistered and everything works fine now.

I think you're fine. There's no need to go rent a plane and build more hours. However, that's just my opinion.

So it was a server snafu, huh? Okay, I'll try re-registering later. I'm heading back into the air again for the long X-C.
