Great idea and it would be fun, but I wouldn't want aircraft theft on my record.

On a more serious note, Keep detailed notes with times and dates of conversations. Get an attorney now and have him send a letter. The mere threat of a suit may get his pen moving faster. Also, see if the local TV stations have any of those "hall of shame" or s"o and so to the rescue" shows that fight for the little guy and gives your boss a whole bunch of negative press..

Keep an eye on your PRIA record. I wouldn't put it past this guy to put something negative on there.

Good Luck

When Moxie told me about his first couple days of training at the company and was told, "make your your transponder is set to ON" I started having my doubts about the company. They were pushing the FAR's a tad too much with that one (yes read into it, survey work, low level).

Get a Lawyer, you've been discriminated!!!!!

Pilot Records Improvement Act of 1996 (PRIA)

The Pilot Records Improvement Act of 1996 (PRIA) requires that a hiring air carrier under 14 CFR part 121 and 135, or a hiring air operator under 14 CFR part 125, request, receive, and evaluate certain information concerning a pilot/applicant's training, experience, qualifications, and safety background, before allowing that individual to begin service with their company as a pilot. This process allows the entity to make a more informed hiring decision. More »

Very well put. I agree completely.

You can add In-N-Out Burger to the list.

I'm terribly sorry for what happened, man. That is a real shame.

UPDATE *****

called the ex-boss today. he said they have overnighted a check for what sound to be the correct amount owed. Hooray! But of course ever optimistic dad wants to see it (as do I I need the $$ )

Now the problem is finding out where they sent it - my old address 1800 miles away or local. No problem either way dad can pick up my out of state mail and I can hang around here until it comes in.

I guess it still comes down to a waiting game.

Thanks for everyone's support

Glad to hear it's working out.

Um...not to be utterly paranoid or anything, but when you get the check, call the bank it's drawn on make sure that it will clear and that it's not stop-paid.
