| Instrument Rated Finally am an instrument rated pilot as of noon today. Checkride consisted of 1.5 hour oral covering currency, required equipent, en route charts, weather, systems, and approach procedures. Flight consisted of unusual attitudes, partial panel unusual attitudes, compass turns, shot a VOR-A, ILS, and LOC/DME for 1.5 on the hobbs. Feels good to have that out of the way, and thanks to Doug and all the others here for the great site! |

| Re: Instrument Rated Thanks, guys. Hugh was an awesome examiner. I learned a lot from him and enjoyed some of his stories, such as him flying a restored and modified DC-3 to Thailand. He was also one of the nicest guys you would meet at the airport. |
