Congrats! I know that is not an easy ride. Did you take the checkride in the 172 or the Cirrus?

Congrats man! That ticket will allow you to do some of the most fun (yet potentially dangerous... so be careful) flying there is to be done. Just don't forget that it really is a "license to learn". I remember before I got my instrument I wanted to do a really long cross country so bad but I was always afraid that the weather would crap out and I'd be worrying the entire weekend that I was at the destination or whatever. I couldn't wait to get my instrument rating so I wouln't have to worry about deteriorating weather. Then when I got it I realized that you have to worry just as much, only about slightly different things... Like icing, really low ceilings, convective activity, blah blah blah. But it's still fun. Take care, Congrats, and Fly Safe. And happy early turkey day.
