Play Station 3 is going on Ebay for $2,000 a piece. Not bad for a $600 system. To camp out Friday night to get one at midnight..... to put on ebay.... that is the question!

I saw Christmas decorations out for sale at Cracker Barrel before Halloween ... I CAN'T stand when I see that, or hear the music before Dec.1. I've always enjoyed Christmas music, but to me it should be one holiday at a time.

Am I the only one who feels like Christmas just isn't the same anymore?

I mean as I've gotten older. Each year my brother says, "Man, this doesn't even feel like Christmas." We do almost all of the same stuff, but it still doesn't feel like it used to. In 01' we had a pretty dramatic family tragedy happen a few days before Christmas which kinda stopped it for that year, I wonder if it's that or if it's just because we're not all at the house and kids anymore?

Anyone think the same thing?

Do you think this is why we try so hard to make every Christmas so awesome?

Am I just crazy and completely wrecking this thread?

It stopped feeling like the Christmas I knew as a kid. Once the thrill of Santa is gone, so goes a big part of Christmas. Also, at least for me, Christmas has almost come to symbolize a time when it is more or less expected of you to buy people things ... so it became more of an annoyance.

Now that I have a son who's going to be about a year-and-a-half old, I think the Christmas I once knew will come back. Getting to play Santa and see the joy on his face when he opens presents will bring the spirit back. Now that we own our own place now, I think I will be more excited about the decorations too.

But, I do know what you mean deserteagle.

I'm with you on this. I also think that there is way too much pressure to go out and spend money that you don't have. That alone is enough to wreck the holiday spirit. I personally enjoy having a simple Christmas. You don't have to spend thousands of dollars on gifts and decorations to really enjoy the holiday. The best Christmases that I remember was spending time with my family, and remembering what Christmas is all about.

I know some people will disagree with me here, but I think that Christmas has become way to commecialized. It seems like it has beome nothing more than an excuse to max out every credit card you own.

Give me a nice Christmas tree, a few gifts under the tree, people that I enjoy spending time with, and some egg nog with rum and I will be very happy.

Then again, I have always appreciated the simple things in life.
