After working and my weekly poker night with students, I was able to come out about $312 ahead.

Ok in all seriousness. I am out of pocket about $25,000 for my training. I did work along the way and I used that money to offset costs. Had I just paid for everything it would be about $32,000. I elected to only get 60 hours of Multi so that kept the cost down in comparison to the package prices. I have 280TT and 60ME and I still have the CFI and CFII rides to complete so I will end up at about 300TT.

Dude, that was my favorite time of the day. Wasn't there some kind of Scottish character that always referred to him as "Pally" or something?

Too bad you are doing sim training, I could use some Mustang time.

Let me know when you get up to ICT.

Wow is all I can say. Makes me feel like a loser, sitting at this fancy 141 school. Just over a year into it, and I'm just about to become a commercial pilot, and start CFI. You started AFTER I did, and you're done with a whole heck of a lot before me.

Congrats.

Yeah, I am out west right now. Got to do some "mountain flying" today! Forgot to bring the digi-cam so no pics , but the sunset was awesome. Steep turns are a little more tricky here, when your "horizon" is a ski area. So, you decide who you are going to ride with for the add-on stuff? I have digital copies of the "lesson plans" I made for myself for the rest of the rides if you want them, but you are usually on the ball with that kind of stuff.

I can tell you from experience with FlightSafety that the Mustang will be one of those of jets where the instructors will probably do a fair amount of flying the actual jet.

Anyway - congrats on the MEI - it's a great accomplishment. And I can tell you right now, I learned more about flying during my first 100 hours as a CFI than I had during my previous training.

That's the word. We will be doing some training in the actual aircraft. I'm pretty excited about it.

Nah, I think he was Australian or something. He loved cheese...That was on Rescue Rangers, no?
The Scottish character was Scrooge McDuck, on Duck Tales. =)

I will probably do the add ons with Mr. Grumpy. (Ken)

I would actually prefer the FSDO but they just take too long to get anything scheduled. I have flown with two of the examiners at the FSDO now and I enjoyed flying with both of them. Its nice to hear complimentary comments during my ride instead of the constant bitching that I get from Ken. Both Jerry and Sami at the FSDO at least had positive comments about my flying.

Oh well, I will just prepare for the abuse and get those knocked out in the next couple weeks. I will have to send students to him anyways so I may as well get used to it.
