Yes I'm still alive...

The little message at the top of my window tells me I haven't contributed in a while...so I'm contributing.

First quick update on my life...for those of you who might care:

- Still rockin' the 4.0 GPA in culinary school
- Lost my IT job

- Got a job in a nice pastry kitchen, so I'm officially a professional cook.
- This quarter is kickin' my ass mafia style.

Second...some food for thought and discussion:

The Holy Roman Empire was neither holy, nor Roman...discuss.

From a career standpoint...that was never my deal. I love to fly, but wouldn't want to work for the airlines.

Right now, it's strictly financial. I just don't have the money to do it. Wish I did, because I'm super close to being done.

I do go up from time to time to keep myself in shape and not too rusty, but those flights are not going to get me to my checkride. That's a given.

I wish. Never made it there, but since losing the IT job, I might actually make it there.

Yeah that pretty much sums it up.

I'm learning there are a few simple rules to finding good food here in the ATL.

1. Avoid anything owned by Tom Catheral.
2. Buckhead Life Group isn't all that great.
3. Fifth Group Restaurants are really good.
4. Creative Loafing usually has the best reviews.

Right now I'm still at Aviation Atlanta @ PDK, since they have what is left of my loan money.

I've got enough cash banked for 10 hours of instruction, which should finish me up, but I'm trying to find a block of time where the weather will be good, I have time off from school, work, etc to go and fly everyday.

That's what is killing me.

I'll probably take another quick flight soon just to brush off some rust and see where I am, but I don't expect I'll be done any time soon...which sucks.

Hey, have you ever had one of their pimento cheeseburgers? They use pimento cheese instead of cheddar, and they squish it in one of those flat toasters. Man is it good. You have got to try one if you never have.

I am not a pimento cheese fan at all. I think I have probably had everything else on the menu though....there fried pies are outstanding also.

I refer to the chili cheese dog, o rings , and coke as a coke and an oil change......all that grease
