Well, a lot of second year FOs jump to fractionals like NetJets and CitationShares for the $$$. Some guys go to other regionals b/c it's easier to commute. Some of it is guys upgrading, but that's come to a screeching halt here lately. We're still getting CAs hired at FedEx, CAL, SWA and AirTran, but they're just NOW starting upgrade classes to replace those guys. Might move up faster once the upgrades start rolling again.

I would think the traditional CFIs would if they started at Eagle with 1500 or more hours.

Hey hey hey, what's wrong with philosophy class? I'd kill to take some decent classes right now. What I'm learning right now is interesting, but not nearly as cool as a good philosophy or political science course.

Believe it or not, PCL does have a lot of guys that didn't go to Gulfstream or CAPT. Yeah, there are quite a few guys that meet the mins for the fracs. Even at the dismall rate I'm flying, I'd meet the mins sometime during my second year.

As commutable as any other regional... except SJD perhaps.

Don't worry - that feeling will pass.....enjoy your time in college. Having a job just plain sucks wether you're a doctor, lawyer, bus driver, computer programmer, pharmacist, Wal Mart greeter, or airplane pilot.

Actually I can' wait to retire and get a job as a greeter at Wal Mart.....I've had enough approaches to mins in the middle of the night in crappy weather to a crappy snow covered runway in Craphole, USA.....give me a job where there is no cognative skills required!!

Depends on the aircraft.

For FO's, it's senior for the ERJ.

Junior for the SAAB & CRJ

.... but, then again, for the Saab & CRJ, there are only two bases (CRJ= DFW & ORD; Saab = DFW & LAX) and there really are now "junior" bases on those two aircraft.

Clear as mud?

Hopefully I can find a fun place in So Cal when we get there. Right now I'm thinking the Frontier thing would be great if I can fenagle my way into that somehow, Skywest would be cool and I like their bases, even Great Lakes would work in another year or so when we start thinking about moving back to Denver. Horizon also has Q400s, I really do like that airplane.

Until then, I figure as long as I keep building experience, time, and having fun with it, and it doesn't piss the wife off (see being apart for long periods of time), an airline job will present itself. Regionals have been around for a long time, I am sure they will continue to.

Tim,
Doesn't ATP have a "hiring agreement" with AE? Your times are more than enough for that.
