Default 250+

Well, I have surpassed the 250 hour mark and have a couple more flights before my month of checkrides. Start on Wednesday 10/11 with the CMEL, CSEL the following week, MEI on 10/24 and CFI and CFII shortly thereafter if all goes well.

Feels good to be on the home stretch.

Crikey! You've already got 250+hrs...Man, I'm a total slacker compared to you. Anyway, congrats and good luck with all of those checkrides, that's one heck of a home stretch.

Be careful not to get burnt out on the checkrides...The initial CFI was my longest rating besides my private and the 8 hour oral left my head spinning. By the time the practical rolled around, I was toast. Pink-slipped on the power-180...landed in specified distance but then he gave me a go-around and I pulled up gear instead going to 15 degrees flaps first...whoops. Flaps, Gear on positive rate, flaps. Are you doing any of your rides with the FAA or with a DE?

Ha! I stopped flying all summer due to the heat and planes running like crap (excuse to slack). I am just now getting back into the swing of things. I managed to save a little money to complete everything up to my instrument. I just wish my pesky job didnt get in the way or I would be flying every day. Great job ddog! I know we will all get to see that transition happen for ya.

It's about time DD!!! It took you forever to get there! You are such a slacker!

Now, seriously, congrats on the hours like I told you before, and way to go. Hopefully you'll soon be racking up time while getting paid to fly. Is your instructor going to let you get in there and get some hours yourself, or are you two going to fight over studs?

Congrats!

We are actually booked so solid that he needs a break.

We are both in a hurry to get me finished up and working.

Yeah, yeah. I'm back to full-time consulting in IT to pay for it all. The good news is I'll make enough over the next 6 mos. to finish up my IR and Com ASEL while I'm working, and have plenty o' cash to cover my ME and CFI training after the contract is up. Zero training debt is the goal.
