| ...and hired me. Interviewed with TSA today and was unofficially offered the job with a 1/2/07 class date. Very very much of a softball interview, surprisingly. So looks like I got into my "safety school" but the interviewing shall continue. The interviewers made it a point to mention to me, seemingly suggesting to "not just rest on your laurels", which seemed surprising to me, coming from representatives of the company. Times: 590/30, fyi. |

| Well it just seemed that their tone was sort of like "When you find a better job, let us know so we don't expect you at class." Kinda hard to explain I guess. |

| Yeah, it's "because of the CRM learned in the junior and senior years in Purdue's 727 simulator"... |

| Old Skool | First off let me say congradulations for get offerede employment with TSA. Now not to crap on your parade, but why would you interview and accept conditional employment with a company with a industry reputation like TSA? Especially since they're laying off people (or were) and transfering most or all of their flying to their GoJets certificate. More especially if their own recruiters are not expecting you to show up for training. And in a round about way saying don't come here seek better, more professional employment? Just some honest questions! But again congrads. |

| Because by going to TSA it'd be considerably easier to build multi, let alone part 121 time. When you have 590/30, you can't just sit and choose and play "airline snob" as I've seen a few classmates do. Additionally, since I'm not available for a class date until January, I'll have this interim time to interview with others, and if they offer me a class, I'll go there. Think of it as my "safety school" so to speak. |

| Good decision. Do what you have to do in order to get your time and get out. Or stay, if you decide.

| Old Skool | First off, congrats. That's a pretty far off class date, so I'd agree with your decision to not rest on your laurels. You never know what could open up between now and then. Now, for the obligatory slam on CF..... Quote:
Do we REALLY wanna open the can of worms of "building multi time" in the right seat of a jet again? ![]()

That being said not sure that I could work for a company that has such shady business practices such as GoJets. I'd definately keep looking (XJT) and or maybe instruct more no harm or foul in that. Anyways congrads again. You're one step closer to DE727UPS walking your resume into UPS! ![]() | |
