My "News"

I figured I'd let the cat out of the bag: I was awarded Captain on this past bid, and will be starting upgrade training a month from now on Nov 6th! I'm really excited, although somewhat bummed that I'll be losing my two weeks vacation (sort of) and can't go to my best friend's wedding! Plus, I'll probably be working over Christmas which sucks as well. At least I'll get Halloween and Thanksgiving off! Plus I'll still make it to NJC.

I feel like I have so much to do in preparation! I've been studying the books for a few months now to get ready, and I've been observing CAs and what I'd like to emulate for three years now, but even so I have a laundry list of things I need to do prior to training. One more month of line flying as an FO!

I'm also excited because I have an internal interview Monday for a position in our Human Factors Department. I'm applying to be a "Human Factors Facilitator," to teach CRM classes to pilots in base. We'll see if I get it. I hope so.

Anyways, that's my news.

thats great news. it sucks you have to miss your buddies wedding, i hope he understands this is kind of a big deal. either way best of luck and im sure you will be a fine captain.

Congrats...Now you will have to get...be given, is more like it...a layover in BGR and go down to the Sea Dog come December (when the RON comes back).
