Thank for the welcome, I'm trying to become a student pilot soon. Actually I been a student since I was ten years old, that when I knew I wanted to become a pilot. Since then I learn something new everyday about aviation, no matter what path may life took aviation was always with me. Over the years I try to keep away from flying because of the money, I knew not to bother my parents because they didnt have that money for me, so I can thought my dream will never come true. I got pretty close when I got my self into college, I went to College Of Aeronautics in New York. I was really happy for about a year until things got real rough when 9-11-01 happen. In my home everybody got a bad break from their emplyment. So I had to leave college, upon leaving college I decided join the Army. It was a great exprience but I was not around aviation. I flew around when we train and when we where in the desert but it was for a little period of time. I was in 10th mountain light infantry division, I had a good time in the Army and I learn and gain alot in the army but I wanted to fly. I know I'm not going to happy until I know I caan fly. When I can say I wake up everyday and go fly thats my job, then I will be happy. I try to get into flight school in the army but that didnt work out, you need to know people to get there.

So I got out, I serveral employments since I been out but once again I'm not happy. So I been looking for a flight school, I been looking at PhoniexEast in Florida. I pray to god everything works out, I would really like to start school soon. I know that my wife would love for to get started to, she is sick of hearing me cry about flying...

Someone gave you some bad info there, my friend. You certainly do not need to know anyone to get into Army flight school. Are you still in? If so I could help you out.

Otherwise, welcome to JC... do your research before deciding on a flight school! Read all you can on these boards... valuable experience and insight for what you're trying to accomplish. Good luck!

EDIT: Okay, so rereading your post I see you already got out, so sorry on missing out on Army flight school. Wish someone would have told you the real deal about it.
