Germany Oktoberfest Travel Podcast...Sept 22 - Sept 30

So, doug and I are trying something new this trip.. we bought a new camera and camcorder and decided to try doing a travel podcast (similar to the travel shows you see like globetrekker, passport to europe - albiet minus sponsors etc). we'll be podcasting our ventures on a daily basis telling you where we're at, what we're doing... kind of bringing you on the trip with us.

it's the two of us, our travel duck Egmont.. we'll be meeting our friends Christian and Volker on Sunday in Stuttgart (for Volksfest)...Andy (Windycitypilot) on Thursday when we go to Munich...and hopefully Maurice (skyrunner) can make it up to Munich to hang with us... If anyone else wants to join or will be in the area between Frankfurt & Munich (south/southwest area of Germany), feel free to let us know.

you can keep tabs on us at www.nonrevcentral.com in the travel blog section and please, feel free to give us comments and/or suggestions as we'd like to start doing this on a per trip basis, if we can....we just want to "keep it real" so you can see the types of things experienced when traveling abroad.

the podcasts are great! i have one request though, do you think you could continue the podcasts with njc2006? i have to live vicariously through you two. have a great rest of your trip and stay safe.

No problems at all. When the vid starts it is a little unclear, but that goes away very fast. The people here at work keep asking me what are you doing? Who are those people?

How come doug isn't getting much face time?

Loving the podcasting man...the vids are great. Tell Christian I said hi and that he needs to come back to PHX..soon! Oh and Volker needs some serious screen time!

Nice pic Kristie...gotta love the Schwaben Brau tent! If you guys are looking for a good beir...grab a Rothaus Tannen-Zapfle (they have it at most "party stores" or 7-11 type places). Favorite beer from Black Forest area.

The only bad thing about videopodcasting is that it adds another two hours onto your night when you're dead tired. It's like 0130 here in Stuttgart and I'm getting up at 0730! Yowza!

BTW, the Schwaben Brau tent rules all. Nothing like a ice cold stein full of Hefe. Nectar of the gods!

Another good day of videos. It's good to see Doug get some face time. Love the FA demonstration. If this pilot thing doesn't work out, you have a future....

One thing I've noticed from the podcasts is the voice portion tends fade at times and its sometimes a little hard to hear.. I think if if the mic turns slightly from either of you the sound fades....

Now get some rest so you don't have to run to your train....

I'm discovering that the Germans love to dance and sing to some of our most cheesiest songs, which is probably why they love David Hasselhoff. It's scary.
