The videos should be a little later on as we got back to Stuttgart at 0300 and I'm compressing/letterboxing a crapload of data.

That would have been me in the lederhosen. And the shirt is red not pink. It's actually red and white checkered but from a distance they look more pink. I still need to find the traditional shoes that go with lederhosen. Clogs are typically not worn with lederhosen.

And the last couple parts of our trip's podcast are up. The last one's a little long.

Things I've learned:

a. Eat before you drink your second "mass" or you will pay.
b. NEVER LEAVE THE TENT IN MUNICH
c. Lederhosen are bad ass.
d. Germans love cheesy American music, Paris Hilton and David Hasselhoff
e. Learn the words to "Viva Colonia" and the "Hölle! Hölle! Hölle!" song.
f. 1/2 Hähnchen + Hefeweizen = Pure freeking nirvana.

looks like you had a great time. i am jealous. the podcasts worked out great and you two did a great job with them. doug and kristie thank you for letting me live vicariously through you.

No problem. Those things were a hell of a lot of work -- a lot more than I realized. The worst part is that I kept telling myself "I wish I was rolling tape" when something happened, but if I kept it running, I'd had hours and hours of crap to dig through every night.

no doubt!! he needs a babysitter...and no, i'm not performing that job next year.. that way i'll get to enjoy beer and song more! and less "puke watching" - yuck...

it was still fun tho...i liked those chocolate covered fruits so much that i got more when we went to volkfest the next night! hahaha

I'd like to thank you for the videos except for that damn beer-and-chicken.... I can't get the crazy tune out of my head....I was cleaning the house today before coming into work and found myself singing...Beer and Chicken, Beer and Chicken, Going to get some Beer and Chicken. My kids thought I was going crazy..... "Dad, what are you singing about....."

I said something like "Let's just go back down to Volkfest and eat. How does chicken and beer sound?" so she starts singing "beer and chicken, beer and chicken, going to get some more beer and chicken!"

Luckily I was already rolling tape in the hallway.

Awesome, I've been waiting for some video podcasts like this. One problem. They aren't formatted for my ipod. Only the first two were copied on it, then nothing. Anyway to fix that??
