Hahaha...I Just Got Fired!!

Yup..yup it's true the mormons finally won,no offense Joe. But fortunately I knew then end was ni.

It all started in a dark alley at 2am on a Saturday night downtown after the bars let out...oh wait that's another story for another time.

Seriously..It started about the last week of February the first of March. At Chase in the lending department were assigned work ques based upon on how we work them. The better you work a que the more often you will be assigned that que to work. I ALWAYS was assigned to work the MTHR,TGCD,BOOP and TRIG que. In those ques I always exceed work standards and was recognized not only by my peers but by management. For a superior job well done!

In the last month they started assigning me different ques that I haven't worked in 6-10 months. For a couple of weeks my numbers went down. Quality monthly goal is set at 87.5% and production goal is 100%. I quickly built my numbers back up. Then they moved me from Virginia's team to a supervisor who I have had known prior problems with. I ended the month of March with quality score at 95% and 97% for production.

I got written up and put on a final warning for failure to comply with standards...3 points! Yes they wrote me up for being 3 points short of my production goal. I was told that if my numbers weren't at standards or exceeding standards by the end of April I'd be "termed." Well I ended April with 155% for production and 98% Quality.

Guess what they fired me for? They said that I didn't make enough outbound calls. We need to make outbound calls in my job function as an underwriter if we see erroneous trends on a credit bureau. For example slow pays ,missed payments or late mortgage payment etc. Working the job for two years you can easily see when some one is having financial trouble by payment history and derogs on the bureau. When it is that clear a call isn't required.

Qualities Assurance's job is to check our work as analyst and make sure were both complying with Chase work rules but more importantly federal guidelines such as fair lending laws.My QA score was well above standard so obviously my decsionsand judgements were sound and correct and calls weren't needed.

I wouldn't say that I am mad,dissapointed yes. But I was out looking for a new job anyway. As I knew it was coming, I crossed my I's and dotted my T's and rose in every situation that they placed me in,in spite of their hopes to see me fail, and in the end they let me go on some ole bulls**t. Fortunately I knew it was coming and have some cash saved so I'm not hurtin financially.

So here is the big question...Doug, Kristie I don't have a j-o-b no mo what time we meetin up for flutag on the morrow?

Oh mos def...Mormon's rule the east valley (where I work and live.) Mass Mormon's reside in Tempe/Mesa.

I was rather outspoken didn't play the clique game and didn't really talk to certain groups or individuals. Not to mention that I wasn't a lifer at the bank had goals and quite educated.

Seriously...both white,black and people of all colors when meeting me expect me to act to a sterotype. But when I open my mouth (they all say I sound white) because I can speak big words with my large vocabulary and use them in a sentence and I don't shuck and jive. They seem to get dispointed that I'm not the sterotype they thought I was. This was no exception really.

Thanks I'll wear that crown proudly. I know that your either a mormon yourself or have mormon family members, in fact I believe you to have rather intimate knowledge of the valley. But the purpose of this thread isn't to bash mormons.Sorry if you took it as such. As for my aforementioned post I was simply relaying truth about stereotypes that I sometimes shatter upon meeting certain people of rather limited intelligence. Seriously though....sounds like you were ready for a change. To bad you couldn't upload some computer virus into the system that would take the fractions of a cent and over the years put them into a bank account....you know like in superman 3.
