Passed my CFII!!!! I stressed really too much on this, only because my CFI was really long. One of the problems was that the first night my instructor told me when I was going to have my checkride, I started having a bad dream. So that next day I got up and started studying more and more. Then I started realizing all the stuff that I had forgotten! So I guess the dream was a wake-up call (Get it, wake up call?). So today I took the ride, and it was a breeze. We went over paperwork, first. Then he had me describe the flight instruments in the cockpit as if I was teaching a new student. So I went over the pitot-static instruments, Gyroscopic instruments, and the Magnetic Compass, and how they all work. Tried to describe all the tolerances, and IFR standards. The examiner went more into detail on other ways of teaching things, all I did was smile and shake my head yess. What I was thinking, the longer ground is, the shorter the flight will be hopefully. Then he wanted me to describe a precision approach and a non-precision approach. For which all I did was a precision. I talked about what makes it a precision, Horizontal and Vertical Guidance, 0-3 degrees of centerline, and a normal approach to land. Also what are the types of precision approaches (ILS, MLS, PAR). Then, what are the components of a precision approach. After that, I explained to him a ILS approach at an local airport. He really liked it, so he said let's fly. He told me what he was looking for, as to what to teach students. We did that same local ILS approach, low approach only. Then left turn out to the IAF on a GPS approach. Flew in a hold, for the IAF on the GPS back to home base airport. We landed and that was it. 0.8 was the flight time. Now it is on to MEI now!

Passed my CFII last Monday. Oral was very similar to yours, and shot a partial panel VOR instead of the GPS. Really is nothing to worry about! Good luck!

Congrats! Checkrides usually end up being easier than you think...as long as you're prepared...and it sounded like that was the case!
