Default SJS bit me

Sorry folks. Bigger paychecks and the opportunity to finally get out of Fres-hell-no have made me succumb to shiny jet syndrome. I leave the mighty Brasilia and start RJ training on June 5th. I'll be moving to Chicago after training.

And if anyone congratulates me for having enough seniority to change aircraft (as opposed to actually earning it), I will have to laugh at you.

Chicago is such a small town. There is NOTHING to do there. You won't find any culture or intelligent women in Chicago...nope sorry give up now!

Welcome to the colder midwest. At least you are coming at a good time. We should be warm for a few months. MDW or ORD ????

Congrats!

ORD, but I'm trying to get back to the mountains. DEN, COS or SLC. I can't afford to live in the nice California jet bases, yet (SBA).

Hey, welcome to the club. I always said I'd rather have a TP as my first airline job. I have to say that I'm having a blast in training, and the CRJ is a pretty sweet aircraft (or at least the sim is).

There are two very important things you need to know for living in Chicago. #1 Girodano's stuffed pizza and #2 Portillo's Italian Beef. Chicago ain't one of the fattest cities for no reason.

Don't live there but the wife is at NorthWestern now.

However the above note about Girodano's is a AMEN!

Oh yeah! I had some of their pizza on an overnight there. Best pie I'd had in years.

If you're heading to ORD as a CA, keep in mind one thing:

DO NOT EVER STOP ON A TAXIWAY!

That's the main rule for surviving ORD.

So what you're really asking is, when does his first trip end?

You can also do some biking on Lake Shore Drive to kinda get your bike fix.

Chicaga's a fun town. I spent many a weekend there back in the day.

Chicago is the greatest big city in the world.

Plus, you're only 3 hours from IND!

Chicago is a fun city. I'm going to the PGA Championship at Medinah in August and plan on making a full vacation out of it. The Navy Pier is pretty cool.

FlyWS,

Congratulations! Life can be better in a place you want to live instead of have to live. I'm hoping I can move back to san diego within 5 years, even if I'm based somewhere else in the country.

Dude, when you move back to SD, I'll be your roommate.

If you'll have me.

And my two cats.

And my two fishtanks.

And my Pottery Barn furniture obsession.

And....ah, hell, you're already saying no way so I'll just stop.
